Land register plans on aluminium plate

Description

The “aluminum plates” are aluminium substrates on which paper sheets are glued, which allow the drawing by hand. They are 100/70 cm tall, 1.6 mm thick and weigh 2.8 kg. They show low distortion/deformation caused by fluctuations in temperature and humidity. They were used from the 1940s until about 1995 (measurement types MFN — New Swiss Surveying). They were used for the transfer of the measurements and the preparation of the land register plans by the Freiburg geometer offices as part of the re-measurements carried out as well as the ongoing follow-up of the official survey. Between 1990 and 2005, AV data was digitised and it is now managed in the BDMO. The “aluminum plates” are no longer used. Before they were archived, they were scanned. They are only available for a small part of the Freiburg communities.
