Estonian topography database - land cover

Description

The land cover spatial data set of the Estonian Topographic Database (ETAK) consists of the land parcels of the group of the ETC reality model "Units", which are not mapped as overlapping, and the water bodies depicted as the surface of the group "Water bodies and hydrographic structures". ---> Types of land cover are divided into: 'arable land' means agricultural and horticultural land; plains - striped area, sandy area, grassland, other ceiling; wetlands - fen, bog, wishful, hollow; woody vegetation - forest and shrubland; "standing water bodies" means lakes, reservoirs, swamps, artificial lakes, ponds, ponds and other standing water bodies; watercourses; the sea; "peat fields" means abandoned peat fields and peat fields; yards - private yards, production yards; road areas; other land parcels - green areas, glaciers. ---> The basis for the establishment and maintenance of the Estonian topographic database is the "Statutes of the Estonian topographic database" and the "Procedure for the acquisition of topographic data and topographic features of general significance". ---> The main data sources are: data obtained by aerial imaging and laser scanning or their derivatives, including orthophotos; data transmitted by holders of information in the course of data exchange; data on the surveys carried out by the controller; data from other surveys and surveys, including public databases and other sources.
