FQMS - Fuel Quality Monitoring System 2013
Description
In Austria, around 8.11 million tonnes of fuel were sold in 2013, of which 6.45 million tonnes (approximately 79%) were diesel. The Federal Environment Agency analysed samples from 206 petrol stations throughout Germany, with one sample taken per petrol station. Diesel fuels have been tested in accordance with ÖNORM EN 590, petrol fuels in accordance with ÖNORM EN 228. In the case of petrol, 3 deviations from the standard parameter for vapour pressure were found, and in the case of diesel, 2 slight exceedances of the permissible FAME content were found. The maximum value of 10 mg/kg sulphur content for marine fuels to be complied with in accordance with EU Directive 2009/30/EC was not exceeded for any of the 6 samples analysed. According to EU Directive 98/70/EC, Member States must verify compliance with the quality standards for fuels and report the results to the European Commission.
