Historical forest areas of Prussia in the Land Brandenburg — WMS
Description
The data presented result from the digital recording of forest areas, differentiated according to 16 categories. The basis was 298 map sheets of the second Prussian state picture and the topographical map (Equidistantenkarte) Saxony (Territorium Brandenburg). The measurement scale is 1:25000. It was taken by the Royal Prussian State Recording or the Topographic Bureau of the Royal General Staff. The recording period of the map sheets covered is between 1879 and 1902. Particularly noteworthy are the elevation layer lines for terrain display and the relatively high accuracy after the introduction of the metric system. The maps have coordinates within the framework (geographic coordinates). The original maps are held by the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (Prussian Cultural Heritage) and the Saxon State Library (Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden). Scale: 1:25000
