11th PROGRAMME: MATERIALS FOR SUSPENSION PRIORITY 1
Description
Different zonings have been defined to guide the implementation of the Agency’s intervention policies in the period 2019-2024.
Depending on the case, they correspond to:
eligibility criteria, i.e. projects must be located in the defined area in order to be eligible for Agency aid or an increase in the rate of Agency aid;
priority criteria, i.e. depending on the area in which the projects are located, they have priority or not to be awarded Agency support, in case the cumulative amounts of the different applications exceed the available budgetary envelope.
Suspended matter:
In order to ensure that the sectors most affected by runoff from agricultural soil erosion receive Agency aid as a matter of priority, zoning has been defined according to:
two main criteria: suspended solids and ammonium (based on measurements made in the rivers of the Artois-Picardie Basin);
Two complementary criteria are the Useful Agricultural Surface and the presence of ripisylves.
This zoning thus defines two levels of priority: priority municipalities (P1) and non-priority municipalities (P2) to limit the most massive inputs of suspended solids of agricultural origin into surface waters.
These priority criteria shall be used to prioritise projects requesting support from the Agency for work related to the fight against agricultural soil erosion.
