Braunschweig in the metropolitan region
Description
The Lower Saxony core region of Hannover-Braunschweig-Göttingen-Wolfsburg was recognised by the Ministerial Conference for Spatial Planning (MKRO) in April 2005 as a “Metropol Region of European Importance”. It is one of eleven recognised metropolitan regions in Germany. The metropolitan region consists of the three economic areas Hannover, Braunschweig/Wolfsburg and Göttingen (South Lower Saxony).
