Amount of CO2 emissions in Liepāja 2006-2022
Description
In 2022, the city of Liepāja decided to apply and was also selected as one of the winners of the EU Mission 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030, thus setting high targets for the reduction of air pollutant gases harmful to health. This is one of the 5 EU missions set up to help achieve the objectives of the European Green Deal, leaving a living environment for future generations. The city's goal is to reduce 80% of harmful substances or 87 730 tonnes of CO2 by 2030.
The data shows the total amount of CO2 emissions in the city of Liepaja from 2006 to 2022. Since 2006, CO2 emissions have decreased by 45% to 137 940 tCO2 in 2022.
