Perimeter of parking compromise

Description

The dataset shows the area of the Historical Parking Compromise as defined in 1996. The Historical Parking Compromise for the Zurich City and Near City Areas was decided by the Municipal Council in 1996. The compromise is essentially to make the city centre more attractive for pedestrian traffic by moving aboveground parking spaces to underground facilities without reducing or increasing the total number of publicly accessible parking spaces. As a starting point, the municipal council defined the status of 1990. The number of parking spaces in the city centre should remain stable at this stand. All customer and visitor-oriented parking spaces are taken into account (white parking spaces up to 3 hours maximum parking duration, parking spaces in car parks and on parking facilities). **Purpose**: Parking space planning, accounting of the historic car park compromise, general planning basis
