EHS 2007 (Ecological Main Structure) (History)
Description
The Ecological Main Structure (EHS) is a coherent structure of areas with a special nature quality. The current state of EHS is on the map. It will be adjusted annually. The implementation of the ecological connection zones and robust connections will also take place. The EHS is further supplemented by areas that still need to be delimited or otherwise designated as EHS. In addition, there are reservations for areas that need to be completed in land development, the so-called star areas. External organisations are also consulted during the update. The following data have been used for the implementation of the EHS: The properties of the land management organisations (SBB, NMM, HDL), land of the water companies, private forest owners, forest expansion in the category of permanent forest, forest reserves, acid-sensitive parts of the EHS (WAV map, GS Dec. 2004) and the Area Plan with the status of management area or nature reserve.
