WMS service corresponding to the set of AQUA MODIS satellite images filtered monthly from the historical K490 series for the period 2000-2014. Spatial resolution 1 100 m. Area Atlantic Ocean and Alboran Sea. In ETRS89 UTM spindle 30. In order to obtain the average monthly behavior of K490 (m-1), on the Andalusian coast, through the calculation of the monthly average images of the historical series. The diffuse attenuation coefficient in the water indicates how light is attenuated within the water column, which helps to characterise the transparency of the water and therefore estimate the turbidity state of the waters of the Andalusian coast. In addition, this parameter has many applications in ocean optics, such as its relationship with the concentration of phytoplankton and organic and inorganic sediments dissolved in marine water.
