Comprehensive mapping of the biotope types of the city of Zurich

Purpose: This mapping records the current biotope and structural quality of the urban structure and describes the nature quality of protected areas outside designated areas. It is an important instrument for all aspects of the promotion of nature in the city and provides an essential basis for advice and for the derivation and prioritisation of options for action. In order to define the ecological green quality of the covered area, it complements the land cover qualitatively.
