Districts of the City of Braunschweig
Description
Since 1 November 2011, Braunschweig has been divided into 19 districts in accordance with Section 90 of the Lower Saxony Municipal Constitution Act. Their names refer to the geographical location. The cartographic basis for the representation of the districts is based on the city map in scale 1:2,500 (RBE2). Further representations are made on the basis of the Braunschweig city map on a scale of 1:20,000 (RBE3). The cards are available in scales from 1:2,500 to 1:100,000.
As of 01.11.2021, the number of districts will be reduced from 19 to 12. The reduction is done by merging existing urban districts.
