Hydromorphological analysis (profile flow, transmissivity and slope water content) for organic and mineral wet sites in catchment areas with state forest of the Free State of Saxony
Description
The map of the potential profile flow shows the water distribution due to the relief. Dry areas, usually domes and backs, have a low profile flow rate (white color). Preferred drainage paths in which the water is concentrated are the valleys. They have a high profile drain (green to blue colors). The transmissivity is a measure of the wetness of the respective bog area and is closely linked to the vegetation in bogs. It is calculated as a ratio of profile flow and gradient. High transmissivities occur at high profile flows or very small gradients. The proportion of slope water is a rough measure of the trophy. It represents the mixture of the mineral-embossed slope water and the nutrient-poor bog water.
