PPI: Special Plan of Intervention of Rhône-Alpes
Description
The PPI is a plan that manages emergency means in the event of an accident in a classified facility whose consequences go beyond the enclosure of the facility.
It is based on the general provisions of the departmental ORSEC (Organisation of the Civil Security Response) plan.
The installations concerned by the establishment of a special Intervention Plan are:
* sites with at least one basic nuclear facility, whether or not it is secret,
*SEVESO classified installations,
* underground storage of natural gas, liquid, liquefied or gaseous hydrocarbons, or chemical products for industrial purposes,
* hydraulic installations which include both a reservoir with a capacity of 15 million m³ or more and a dam or dam at a height of at least 20 metres above the lowest point of the natural soil,
* infrastructure works related to the transport of dangerous goods,
* establishments using highly pathogenic microorganisms as part of a medical or pharmaceutical research activity.
