Route routes — Loiret Department
Description
This layer brings together the tracks relating to the bike roads carried out or being realised in the Loiret. To date, two projects are concerned: “La Loire à Vélo” (which follows the Loire) and “La Scandiberérique” (which runs along the Briare and Loing canals).
These are tourist itineraries to travel by bike.
The layer available for download contains only final or provisional layouts open to the public.
**Collection context**
The Department of Loiret is manager of the Véloroutes in the Loiret, outside the towns of Orleans and Montargis.
**Collection method**
The initial data was created by successive design offices and project supervisors.
For the Loire à Vélo, the current data was compiled between 2009 and 2016.
In October 2011, the Environment Directorate of the Loiret General Council reworked the data: all the data from the design office has been recalibrated to the road reference of the TOPO© IGN BD. The road sections were then re-divided into municipal boundaries.
For Scandinavia, the data has been being compiled since 2012.
For all bicycle roads, in 2015 the data was reworked to stick to the COVADIS standard.
