FFH areas

Description

The shape includes the demarcations of the sites included by the European Commission in the List of Sites of Community Importance (SCI List). (Commission Decisions of 12 and 13 November 2007 published in the Official Journal of the European Union of 15 January 2008) In Schleswig-Holstein, all bird sanctuaries and sites of Community importance (SCI) are governed by national law (NSG, LSG or European bird protection areas), unless designated as NSG or LSG, pursuant to § 4 of the LNatSchG in conjunction with the first sentence of Section 33(1) of the BNatSchG in conjunction with Section 24(1) of the LNatSchG and the formally announced site-specific conservation objectives) special protected areas (SPA or SAC). Accordingly, all FFH areas in Schleswig-Holstein are to be designated as a Special Protected Area (SAC). **Projection:** ETRS89, GRS80 ellipsoid, UTM Zone 32, with leading 32 in eastern value (EPSG code: 4647) transformed from: DHDN90, Bessel ellipsoid 1841, GK 3.Stripes (EPSG code: 31467) with the method: DHDN90; GK 3.Stripes; National surveying/transformation approach according to form function (SH-Trans) **Measurement scale:** 1:25.000 ### Attributes — Existed = 1 = Sites of Community Importance pursuant to the third subparagraph of Article 4(2) of the Habitats Directive — Gebietsnr = official area number (in EU lists with the Suffix DE....) — Territorial name = designation according to SCI list — Scale = scale of the map base on which the geometries were digitised — Info_Konta = link to the metadata in Preludio — Area_ha = total size of the area in ha (digitally determined size) — Legal grun = Source of the Ordinance — WFD_relev = Area relevant to the implementation of the Water Framework Directive ### Comments FFH = Fauna – Flora – EU Habitats Directive of 21 May 1992, which, together with the EU Birds Directive of 2 May 1979, lays down the legal bases for the European System of Protected Areas “NATURA 2000” forming. The Member States hereby undertake to: to preserve this European natural heritage and Implementation of protection into national law. Zone 0916-391 “National Park Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea and adjacent coastal areas”: In the north, the area extends to the territory of Denmark. The course of the territorial border in the marine area (in particular: Northwest of Sylt) is not yet bindingly mapped between the two states.
