Heavy metals and other inorganic environmental elements in marine sediments
Description
The data set shows the content of heavy metals and other inorganic environmental elements (including sulfur, barium, arsenic), as well as the amount of microplastic particles in marine sediments. In addition, the data set provides information on grain size composition, organic carbon content and carbonate. Sediment samples for geochemical analyses are obtained primarily from areas with fine-grained sediments in both open marine deposition environments and coastal waters. Sample density varies depending on location. There is greater sample density in fjords and coastal areas, while in open sea areas there is lower sample density.
