Description
This table contains data on the number of establishments of companies by economic activity, based on the Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The branches are also divided into various regional divisions (including COROP areas, provinces and parts of the country) based on the municipal division as at 1 January of the year under review.
Data available from: 2007.
Status of figures:
The figures up to 2022 are final. The figures for the last two years are provisional.
Changes as of 29 April 2024:
Data for 1 January 2024 have been added. Fulfilled information for the period 2022 and 2023 has been processed.
Due to an improved use of data on owners and ownership relationships during 2023, a different activity has been identified for many companies within the sector 6420 Financial holding companies as of 1 January 2024.The main activities in which this group ended up are 7010 Holdings, internal group services and 7022 Organisational consultancy firms, etc.
When will there be new figures?
The new figures are usually available 4 months after the end of the reporting year.
