Establishments of companies; control, industry, region
Description
This table contains data on the number of establishments of companies by economic activity, based on the Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The branches are divided into regional divisions (including COROP areas) based on the municipal division as at 1 January of the year under review. In addition, the number of branches whose ultimate control lies abroad is shown.
Data available from: 2010.
Status of figures:
The figures up to 2021 are final. Figures for 2022 are provisional.
Changes as of 29 April 2024:
Provisional data for 2022 have been added. The 2021 data are final. Compliant data for the period 2021 have been processed.
Due to an improved use of data on owners and ownership during 2023, a different activity has been identified for many companies within the K Financial Services industry as of 1 January 2024. The main activities where this group has ended up is M Specialist business services.
When will there be new figures?
The figures for 2022 will be finalised in April 2025. Preliminary data are generally available 16 months after the end of the reporting year.
