Bankruptcies, day-adjusted session
Description
This table shows the number of bankruptcies pronounced by judges in the Netherlands, broken down by type of bankrupt (natural persons with and without sole proprietorship, companies and institutions). The results have been corrected for the effects of court hearing days. Bankruptcies are usually pronounced on a fixed day of the week, usually Tuesday. As a result, a calendar month can contain four or five so-called session days. As a result, the number of pronounced bankruptcies can fluctuate from month to month. The set of outcomes in this publication has been cleared for the effect of session days.

Status of figures
The results are provisional during the year under review. In the first quarter following the year under review, the results will be declared definitive.

When will there be new figures?
The results for the month of June 2024 are expected to be published on 12 July 2024.
