The table provides data on research activities
and development (R & D) of companies, research institutes and Higher
educational institutions, with 10 and more persons employed, carried out with
own staff in the Netherlands.
This concerns:
— expenditure incurred on behalf of the R & D with its own staff;
— the own R & D staff, shown in numbers of working years.
The data relate to:
— companies;
— institutions consisting of:
* research institutions;
* national services;
* institutions of care and well-being;
* other settings.
— Higher education institutions consisting of:
* publicly funded universities;
* the University Medical Centers (UMCs) where the Medical Faculty
(partially) of the associated university;
* Higher Vocational Education (HBO).
The reference date is 31 December.
Data available from 2002 to 2009.
