Environmental vision - Wind energy Solitaire wind turbines excluded
Description
Wind turbines are not allowed in these areas due to legal restrictions or provincial policy. In addition, the province excludes the establishment of solitary wind turbines in valuable open areas. This file was adopted by the Provincial Council on 1 March 2017.
The map layers of wind energy from the environmental vision are a technical approach with which possibilities and limitations for wind energy have been mapped. After going through a participatory process and administrative coordination, search areas for wind energy have been included in the first version of the Regional Energy Strategies (RES1.0, 2021).
The information about wind in the environmental vision has now been overtaken by the RES.
