Research and development; key figures, 2002-2010
Description
The table contains data on the research and development (R & D) activities of companies, institutions and higher education institutions, with 10 and more employees, carried out with their own staff in the Netherlands. Outsourced R & D is not included.
These include:
— expenditure on R & D with its own staff;
— the own R & D staff, represented in the number of years of employment.
The data relate to:
— enterprises;
— institutions consisting of:
* research institutes;
* national services;
* institutions of care and well-being;
* other settings.
— Higher education institutions consisting of:
* the publicly funded universities;
* the University Medical Centres (UMCs) where the Medical Faculty
(partially) of the associated university;
* higher Vocational Education (HBO).
Data available from: 2002.
Status of the figures:
Figures for companies, institutions and higher education institutions for 2010 are final.
When will there be new figures?
This table was discontinued as of 3-5-2013 and continued as "Research and development; key figures by sector of implementation”. See also paragraph 3.
