Description
This digital overview map represents areas of value for the fauna of Lower Saxony (excluding avifauna). This is based on area-related data from the animal species collection programme. The data available from these areas will be evaluated by animal group, provided that they are not older than 10 years. If a certain threshold is reached under this standardised procedure, these areas are classified as areas of value for fauna from a national perspective. All animal groups except birds that are treated separately in a different theme map were taken into account.
