White stork (grid representation)
Description
The white stork stocks are annually organised by the volunteer staff (organised in the NABU State Working Group White Stork Protection Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania); NABU-LAG white stork protection M-V) and the breeding stock statistically evaluated. Every 10 years, a European-wide white stork version takes place.

In the past, every 5 years (for the Europe-wide census date and half-time between the Europe-wide census dates, i.e. 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014, the horst sites were also mapped.
The Horst locations were digitised as points and in the Shapefile: White stork 2014 (horst accurate display)– wst14_p.* – filed.
From this database, the available database was decelerated, whereby the horstes occupied in 2014 were aggregated per table sheet quadrant (MTBQ).
