Business environment; society, 1990-2013
Description
This table presents a number of social factors relevant to the business environment in a country for a number of countries. It is important to the activity in a country how the attitude of its inhabitants towards employment is important. Whether they prefer part-time work or are inclined to change jobs quickly. Political choices influence entrepreneurs’ leeway and incentives for people to work or not (here expressed in benefits and minimum wage). This table provides information on job mobility and part-time employment, benefits and minimum wage for a number of countries.
Please note: in order to enable an international comparison, the figures presented here used internationally comparable definitions, which sometimes differ from those normally used by CBS. As a result, differences can occur between these figures and national figures published elsewhere on the CBS website.
