Business environment; innovation internationally compared to 1990-2008
Description
This table provides an international overview of indicators for innovation. The focus is on figures about technologically innovative companies. In addition, the table gives a picture of patents applied for and achieved turnover shares with innovative products. Finally, data are presented on forms of non-technological innovation. High scores on these indicators for innovative entrepreneurship give an indication of a favourable business environment.
Please note: In order to make an international comparison possible, the figures presented here use internationally comparable definitions, which sometimes differ from the definitions normally used by CBS. As a result, differences can occur between these figures and national figures published elsewhere on the CBS website.
