Description
Annual monitoring data of the wintering (sleepers) of milano real 'Milvus milvus' in Andalusia for the period 2021-2022. Framed within the scope of the 'Plan of recovery and conservation of necrophagous birds', approved by Agreement of January 18, 2011, of the Governing Council. The Plan establishes protection measures for three endangered species: Boneless vulture, royal milano and alimoche, and another vulnerable, the black vulture. The species is listed as 'Endangered' according to Decree 23/2012, of February 14, which regulates the conservation and sustainable use of wild flora and fauna and their habitats.
The data are collected in a table format with information regarding the name of the species, date of registration, time of census (dawn/sunset), place, substrate, number of individuals, coordinates of the sleeper (EPSG:3042), coordinates of the observation point and observations. Additionally, given the ecological importance, the number of individuals of black milano 'Milvus migrans' is recorded.
