Regional-Zonale Location Units
Description
The unit of location (StE) is the basic forstecological unit; it summarises individual sites that do not have to be completely identical, but are so close that they have similar forest opportunities and hazards and can be expected to perform similar performances of the main tree species.
In combination of physiographical and vegetation-scientific methods, a site unit is described by morphological, geological-surface and floristic identification features.
In the Regional-Zonal en Site Unit, site units are standardised according to their regional and vertical zonal allocation.
