DigiD ownership; origin, gender and age; 2008-2009
Description
This table contains data on the DigiD ownership of the Dutch population. DigiD is the Dutch government’s digital login code. This digital login code allows Dutch citizens via the internet to a government (e.g. Tax Administration, UWV, DUO, municipality) or other institution connected to DigiD (e.g.: the health insurance company) announces. In this way, one can make tax returns via the internet, apply for benefits and allowances and purchase other information, services and products from the government. The DigiD ownership of the Dutch population is an indication of the use of digitally offered public services.
In this table, government means that part of the government, care and non-government can work with the so-called citizen service number (also called A-number, SoFi number). The Dutch population is distinguished in the table by characteristics such as origin grouping, gender and age.
Data available from: 1 July 2008
Status of the figures:
The absolute DigiD figures are integrated after linking to the municipal basic administration and are final. The relative DigiD figures are calculated on the basis of the total population. The figures for the total population at 1 January 2009 come from the demographic statistics and are as well as the figures in the table population per month; age, gender, origin, generation for now.
