Environmental vision - Water catchment areas

Description

The water catchment areas are the areas directly around the wells with water that is pumped up within 1 year.These protected areas concern the area that includes the wells and their immediate vicinity. The province and its partners aim to protect groundwater as a source of drinking water supply. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial Council on 19 December 2018.
