Environmental Ordinance - Lower Germanic Limes
Description
The Reich designates the Gelderland parts of the Lower Germanic Limes (Article 7.3 Bkl). The Provincial Ordinance designates the buffer zones directly around it on the basis of the UNESCO Nomination dossier Lower Germanic Limes. Insofar as an environmental plan applies to locations within the buffer zone of the Lower Germanic Limes, rules are laid down in the environmental plan in the interest of maintaining and strengthening the core qualities of Lower Germanic Limes. The core qualities of the Lower Germanic Limes are fortresses (castella), civilian settlements, camp villages (vici) graveyards, the military infrastructure, consisting of roads, waterworks and watchtowers and shipwrecks. This file was adopted by the Provincial Council on 15 November 2023 and will enter into force on 1 January 2024 under the Environment Act.
