Finances of enterprises; by activity
Description
This publication provides insight into the balance sheet data and income statements
of companies with legal personality (N.V., B.V., Coöp) from the
non-financial sector in the Netherlands.
The data shall be composed of a direct survey of the
large companies (balance sheet total exceeding EUR 23 million) and
to use the ‘corporate tax’ database of the
Ministry of Finance for Small Enterprises (balance sheet total smaller)
or equal to 23 million euros).
For convenience, the term “enterprise” is used here; actually correct
however, it is “group of enterprises” as defined by CBS.
The companies are grouped by economic activity according to the
Standard Business Classification 1993 (SBI '93), a hierarchical classification of
economic activities used by CBS since 1993 to
business units according to their main activity.
Data available from: 1992.
Status: the figures up to 2007 are final.
Frequency: DISCONTINUED
As from statistical year 2008, the data shall be based on the
Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008); because this division differs from
the SBI'93 has stopped the publication of this table.
The figures are published in a new table, where the data
from 2000 onwards they have been classified according to SBI 2008 (see hyperlink in paragraph 3).
Changes as of 5 August 2010:
The 2007 figures have been updated and are final.

Following receipt of new data for the year 2007, the previous ones are not
variables present are still filled in. It concerns the
corporate tax, share of third parties, net income and
profit distributions.

By the method used in compiling the provisional figures
non-financial (NFO) companies in 2007,
small difference in total capital debit and credit. Normally, they are
these amounts are equal to each other.
When are new figures coming?
This statlfine publication is no longer renewed. The
standard operating classification 1993 has been replaced by the
standard operating classification 2008. The link to the new table is under 3.
