Weather forecast for HARMONIE-AROME – model surfaces
Description
The data contains the latest HARMONIE-AROME weather data produced by the Finnish Meteorological Institute for model surfaces. The data covers atmospheric quantities on model surfaces such as temperature, relative humidity, dew point temperature, wind direction/speed/horizontal components and geopotential height. The Harmonie-AROME weather model is run four times a day (00, 06, 12 and 18 UTC), each with a prediction length of 66 hours. Harmonie-AROME is a so-called restricted area model with a calculation area covering the Scandinavian region, the Norwegian Sea and the Baltic region. The horizontal lattice spacing used in the model is 2.5 km. Vertically, the model has 65 levels, 20 of which are placed at the lowest 1000 meters of the atmosphere. The coordinate system used in the calculation of the model is in Lambert’s projection.
