Fastmark (display service)
Description
The viewing service presents a highly simplified picture of the stability properties of the soil. The product is based on a reclassification of the basic layer in the data set JORDARTER 1:25 000 – 1:100 000 to three stability classes: Fixed land, Non-fixed land and Non-assessed land.

The mainland class includes areas with mountains, moraine, ice river sediments, gravel, block soil and the like. The non-mainland class includes areas with silt, clay, peat, mud, post-glacial sand and other deposits that in many cases are underlayed by silt, clay or filling. For example, slope and humidity conditions have not been taken into account.
The product is intended to be used, for example, as a basis for an early assessment of which areas of land have the potential to be affected by further landslides in the event of, for example, an occurred or ongoing landslide.
In view of any deficiencies in the documentation, a site-specific assessment must always be carried out in the terrain.
