Description
The topic group includes the following topics on surface waters within the meaning of the Water Act:
- Rivers: the location and course of first-order watercourses, second-order watercourses and artificial watercourses; Representation as a line (middle axis), divided into water sections
- Elbe: location of the Elbe federal waterway; Representation as surface
- Flood channels, schematic representation: Schematic representation of the flood channels of the Elbe as a surface
- standing waters: the location and extent of standing second-order waters and artificial standing waters; Representation as surface
- Labelling flowing water: Names of all rivers
- Inscription of standing waters: Names of all standing waters
- Sources: location of the springs in Dresden; Presentation as point
In addition, other watercourses and other water areas that are not waters within the meaning of the Water Act, as well as temporarily exposed groundwater are shown.
The topics are only presented within Dresden. If they go beyond Dresden, they are cut off here on the city border.
The topics were developed by the environmental office of the state capital Dresden and are updated annually. Many waters are measured. Unmeasured waters were measured on the basis of the 1st scale topographic map : 10 000 of the state enterprise Geobasisinformation und Vermessung Sachsen - GeoSN (TK10), the digital terrain model of the Office for Geodata and Cadastre of the state capital Dresden, current aerial photos of the Office for Geodata and Cadastre of the state capital Dresden and taken with the help of local knowledge / site visits.
