Persons with benefits; features, 2007-2015 September
Description
The table provides an overview of the number of persons with social security benefits. These persons can reside both in the Netherlands and abroad.
These are benefits for incapacity for work, unemployment and assistance, welfare-related benefits and general old-age pension benefits.
The number of persons receiving a benefit for the general old-age pension has been included in the table from 2014.
It is possible that a person may claim more than one benefit. These can be benefits of the same type (e.g. two WAO benefits) or two benefits of different types (such as a WW and social assistance benefit). In the latter case, the person is included in both types of benefits. In the first case only once (at the WAO). In the total counts, of course, the person is counted only once.
The numbers are broken down by the personal characteristics of sex, age and origin grouping.
Data available from January 2007.
Status of the figures:
The figures for the periods 2007 to fourth quarter 2013 are final. The figures for the first quarter of 2014 to the third quarter of 2015 are provisional.
As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.
