Monuments culture — Younger architecture (1850-1940)
Description
This file contains the results of the inventory of the younger architecture in the province of Fryslân. The data were collected during the Monumenten Inventory Project (MIP), carried out between 1987 and 1994. The inventoried objects and complexes are a historical testimony and architectural translation of the social, cultural, technical and economic developments that took place in the period 1850-1940. In total, almost 7000 objects are involved. These include residential houses and residential complexes, farms, commercial and industrial premises, public buildings, religious buildings, mills, schools, sports and recreational facilities, road and hydraulic buildings, cemeteries and fortifications
