Assistance debtor statistics, 2001-2012
Description
The table provides insight into the number of outstanding claims at municipalities under the Work and Assistance Act (WWB), the Investing in Young People Act (WIJ), the Elderly Income Supply Act and
partially disabled unemployed workers (IOAW) and the former self-employed incapacity for work (IOAZ).
The WWB replaced the General Assistance Act (Abw) on 1 January 2004.
The numbers relate to current claims throughout the month under review.
The outstanding balance represents the total outstanding amounts on outstanding claims on the last day of the month under review.
The total number of claims included is unknown
The data are broken down by the following characteristics:
— the origin of the claim;
— balance of the debt.
Data are available from January 2001 to December 2012.
Status of the figures:
The figures from October 2012 to December 2012 are final.
