Description
A body of water body of water is a distinct and significant part of the surface water such as a lake, a reservoir, constituting the elemental division of aquatic environments intended to be the WFD assessment unit.
DCE reporting correspondence: this entity corresponds to the Surface Water Body (SWB) concept of WISE where the attribute ‘specialisedZoneType’ = ‘lakeWaterBody’.
The layers are distributed in a format consistent with the SANDRE Data Dictionary of the Water Body Reference, version 1.4.
