Working conditions of workers; bed tops (SBI'93) 2005-2010
Description
This table contains data on working conditions of the Dutch worker, by industries (SBI'93). The table presents figures on physical and psychosocial working conditions, victimisation at work, accidents at work, burnout complaints, satisfaction with the work and longer wanting and being able to continue working.
The data in this table are based on the National Working Conditions Survey (NEA).
The NEA is carried out by TNO and CBS with the support of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.
The aim of the NEA is to “monitor” working conditions in a broad sense under a large and representative sample of workers.

Completions for 2008 resulted in a difference between the total proportion of workers feeling emotionally exhausted according to this table and the table ‘Working conditions’; gender and age. The figures now match.
The figures on accidents at work have been adjusted. Figures according to the new definition are available from 2005 onwards. The new figures are better in line with the European figures on accidents at work and with TNO’s occupational accidents figures.
According to the new definition, accidents without absenteeism, with at least 0 days absenteeism (shorter than one day counts), with at least 1 day absenteeism (in accordance with TNO’s figures) and at least 4 days of absenteeism (in accordance with the European figures). In addition, for the total proportion of workers with an accident at work, the type of injury is distinguished. Type of injury now consists of the three categories “body injury only”, “mental injury only” and “both”. These three categories add up to the total share of workers in an accident at work. Accidents during commuting are not included in the occupational accidents.
When are new figures coming?
No longer applicable. This table has been discontinued as from the reporting year 2011 no more figures are available to SBI '93.
