Goose foraging areas

Description

Location of the current established goose foraging areas in Fryslân. The dataset contains both the general and the species-specific applications, the last including duration (until 1 May or until 1 June). The species-specific foraging areas (for barnacle geese and barnacle geese) are complementary to the common foraging areas. Farmers catch the geese voluntarily, for which they receive compensation. The foraging areas per species are located in places where the fire geese and rock geese are most common. The ANV_selection column shows the final selection: 1: General foraging area 2: Species-specific until 1 May 3: Species-specific until 1 June.
