Applicants

Description

The map shows the location of the address of applicants who have applied for basic payment and/or declared parcels in the Agricultural Agency’s Common Form for the year in question. The applicant is in some cases a law firm or other corporate structure with an address in a city, therefore the map does not clearly show where the agricultural property is located. Applicants are indicated as either crop growers or livestock holdings and grouped according to the number of hectares declared by them. Hobby holding (< 25 ha), part-time holding (25-50 ha), full-time holding (50-250 ha) and large scale unit (> 250 ha). Plant breeders are the applicants who have declared in the CHR (Central Livestock Register) a number of livestock corresponding to less than 5 livestock units. In addition, the dataset contains information on whether the applicant is authorised for organic farming in the year in question. It has not been possible to identify organic holdings for all years, so this information is missing for 2010 and 2011. The attribute table contains, among other things, a holdingNr., which is an ID number used to identify unique applicants.
