WMS service corresponding to the average annual AQUA MODIS satellite image filtered from the historical series of k490 (Water Transparency) for the period 2000-2019. Spatial resolution 1 100 m. Area Atlantic Ocean and Alboran Sea. In ETRS89 UTM spindle 30. In order to obtain the average behavior of k490 (Water Transparency) (m-1), on the Andalusian coast, through the calculation of the annual average of the historical series. The diffuse attenuation coefficient in the water indicates how light is attenuated within the water column, which helps to characterise the transparency of the water and therefore estimate the turbidity state of the waters of the Andalusian coast. In addition, this parameter has many applications in ocean optics, such as its relationship with the concentration of phytoplankton and organic and inorganic sediments dissolved in marine water.
