Hydrogeological subspaces
Description
A hydrogeological subspace is defined as an area in which individual or more hydrogeological units are regionally characterised by a uniform construction of the upper groundwater space. The drawing of boundaries takes into account where hydrogeologically meaningful, the natural spatial structure of physical geography. The subspace division forms the basis for the demarcation of so-called groundwater bodies, on the basis of which the quantity and nature of the groundwater can be interpreted meaningfully for reporting under EC-WRRL.
