Description
This table describes the proportion of entrants to a given programme who obtained a diploma within the nominal study period plus one year within the same programme at the government-funded institutions for scientific education (WO). The figures can be broken down by form of education, education (whether or not care and welfare), living region and academic year. Of the entrants within care and welfare, it is indicated in which training they have been enrolled. This table has been developed within the framework of the Labour Market, Care and Welfare (AZW) research programme, see also section 3.
Low rates of return for Bachelor's degree programmes can arise if a relatively high proportion of pre-intermediate students are enrolled in these programmes. Switch students are students who have completed a bachelor's degree (higher vocational education or university of applied sciences) and want to progress to a university master's degree, but do not meet the entry requirements of this master's degree. These students are given the opportunity to eliminate their deficiencies through a bridging programme. These bridging programmes do not have a separate programme code and universities therefore enroll students in a regular programme code. This has been happening for a long time, but from academic year 2020/'21 these students can also be identified as such in the educational registrations. In academic year 2020/'21, 10 percent or more of the enrolment in the following university bachelor programmes in the field of care and welfare consisted of in-between students: 56950 - B Movement Sciences, 55007 - B Clinical Technology (joint degree), 56553 - B Health Sciences and 56607 - B Pedagogical Sciences.
