Persons entitled to an insured partner’s pension; press. data 2017-2021

Description

In the Netherlands, the pension system consists of three components, the so-called pillars. In these pillars a pension provision can be built up for old age and provision is included in the pillars, which may provide for a benefit for the partner in the event of the death of a person. With regard to the latter benefits, the structure of the pillars is as follows: — The first pillar includes the General Survivors Act (Anw). — In the second pillar, a partner pension can be insured or accrued within employment-related, collective pension schemes. — Finally, under the third pillar, individual products can be purchased from insurers. Think of a life insurance policy or a survivor’s annuity. This table provides an overview of the number of persons entitled to future partner pension and the total gross annual amount of insured partner pension at the end of the reporting year, within the second pillar.
