Unemployed labour force; duration of unemployment and personal characteristics 2003-2018
Description
This table deals with the duration of unemployment for unemployed persons aged 15 to 75. A distinction is made between unemployed people;
— 0 to 6 months,
— 6 to 12 months,
— 12 to 24 months,
— 24 months or more unemployed.
This makes it possible to determine the number of short-term and long-term unemployed. Short-term unemployed are 0 to 12 months unemployed and long-term unemployed for 12 months or more. The figures in the table can be distinguished by gender, age, origin and level of education.
The duration of unemployment is the number of months a person is unemployed. This is determined on the basis of:
the moment of searching for work and
— the moment of termination of the last job.
The figures in the table are based on the Occupational Population Survey (EBB).
