Monthly figures of unemployed and employed labour force 2001 – May 2010
Description
This publication provides an overview of the development of the unemployed person
and the working population, the non-working population, the
employment rate and unemployment rate. Results on the
unemployed labour force are available according to both the national and
the international definition. The data is by age and gender
published in the form of three-month averages.
In addition to the initial figures on the labour force according to
national definition also publishes figures that have been corrected
for seasonal influences.
The data in this publication are mainly based on the Enqu^te
Working population and linking to the Labour Accounts, an integrated
system of data on labour that provides a complete statistical picture
the labour market can be given.
Because the Enqu^te labour force is a sample survey, the
results on the labour force have an inaccuracy margin. For the
assessing developments is therefore better outcomes on a what
for a longer period of time, for example, the development of the
over the past six months or the trend in relation to the same period
a year earlier. Also when looking at developments about longer
however, periods should be taken into account

This table has been discontinued. Data is available from the
three-month period December 2000/February 2001 to March/May 2010.
Reason for discontinuation:
Until May 2010, the average unemployment rate of the previous three
published for months. Due to the change in methodology, more up-to-date figures can be
are produced. As of July 2010, CBS publishes monthly
unemployment in the previous month. The new data can be found in
the StatLine table ‘Employed and employed labour force per month’ see
for further information, paragraph 3.
In 2005, the national accounts were revised on the basis of conceptual
amendments to the European Union’s international directives
(ESA 1995). In addition, new statistical insights and new
sources included in this 2001 revision.
Release policy
Monthly, in the third week of the month, the publication was supplemented
with data for the most recent three-month period.
The seasonal patterns of the labour force became monthly, with the
availability of new source data, updated. As a result
previously published seasonally adjusted figures fractional
change.
When will there be new figures?
This table has been discontinued. There will no longer be any new figures.
