Renewable freshwater sources
Description
This indicator refers to the main components needed to assess renewable freshwater resources and their availability in a country. Renewable freshwater resources (surface and underground) are complemented by precipitation (minus evaporation) falling into the country and draining into rivers, feeding the aquifers (internal flow) and surface and groundwater flowing from other countries (external flow). The indicator measures the state of renewable drinking water resources in the country, as well as the trend of changes over time.
